What is the FARM TO FORK Dinner?

The Ag Center’s first Farm to Fork Dinner celebrates the local, farm fresh bounty of Polk County and nearby areas.   It features local farm fresh ingredients, local brewery and viticulture artisans, and fundraising opportunities and entertainment.  It will be an annual experience not to miss!

Local farms, culinary-trained chefs and BBQ-contest champions will prepare a gourmet buffet style community feast using local ingredients.  Live music, an on-going auction,  InFARMation stations and a 50/50 raffle provide the entertainment.   An early open house and tour of the facilities offers a glimpse into Polk County’s newest and exciting adventure into preserving local farmland and our rural heritage.

Where will the Farm to Fork Celebration be held?

Enjoy your outdoor dinner by candlelight in the beautiful setting of the Mill Spring Ag Center’s front lawn in Mill Spring, NC.  The building is the former Mill Spring School, est. 1928 and the evening and its’ guests will give you a sneak peek into the past 100 years of farming and rural culture in Polk County.

Price is $20 per adult, children 12 and under $10.

Sponsorships and private underwritings for this event are available.  A program guide to the evening and our website will honor our private and business sponsors.

Tickets are available through the Polk County Agricultural Development Office in Columbus, NC at 828-894-2281 and through the Manna Cabanna, Local Organic Market and CSA Program, Saluda, NC  828-817-2308.
